When looking back on the 2012 Oscars, I noticed two trends vying for center stage (pun intended 🙂
Sequens were definitely out in force (and color was no obstacle). We saw navy on Leslie Mann in strapless Roberto Cavalli and black on Rose Byrne in a one shoulder dress by Vivienne Westwood. We have white on Milla Jovovich in Elie Saab and Best Supporting Actress Winner Octavia Spencer wearing the latest from Tadashi Shoji.
The other trend you ask? Which, by the way, had no less “sparkle” was the definitely Metalics. This look is an emerging fashion trend seen on the Fall runway collections of designers like Balenciaga and is rocking Paris Fashion week as we speak. We saw this look on Stacy Keibler, Jennifer Lopez, but no one pulled this look off better than Minnie Driver at the Vanity Fair after Party. And the fact she’s wearing one of my dad’s original rings makes the look even hotter 🙂 You can check out the ring here.
